Review:

If you're looking for a super romantic spot for dinner with that special "someone", Castaway may be your restaurant of choice. The view is spectacular. The inside decor is lovely, and minus raucous show-off diners, the atmosphere is serene and calm. Carefully review the menu before dining, and avoid the parsnip skins at all cost. Put in a special order for your veggies to avoid something that looks like last week's left overs. The bread and pesto are great as are most of the service people. Arrive a few minutes early for self parking, as the walk back to the dining room is a steep climb and long walk.

Review:

Excellent service from the waiters until they were rushing us to get more food before they take them out. Our reservation is 7:30pm and it's just 8:30 and their putting the food away already. When we came at 7:30pm there's no more Salmon and what's left is just the head of the Salmon and bones. I'm not considering to have another dinner at Castaway restaurant and I would not recommend it.

I attended a wedding at this restaurant yesterday and thought the entire experience was ruined by the abysmal quality of the facilities and service! The view is certainly spectacular, but that's where it all stops! The restaurant is dirty, the patio area is dirty with trash stuffed in the planters! The Verdugo Banquet Room was tacky at best. It was dirty, the plates were old, the silverware was old and mismatched, the food was Horrible! Yes, Horrible! The salad was tasteless and poorly presented with a disgusting vinaigrette dressing. All the Entree's were over cooked. The Steak and Fish were like leather, and some of the guests just left after tasting the food! The service was below mediocre. The staff had no idea how to provide quality service for the prices they were charging. The entire event was disorganized; there were no signs or staff directing guests to the right area's, the valet was confusing, the Wedding Coordinator was by far the worst I've ever seen - she wa ...
