Spaghettini Grill & Jazz Club - Restaurant Review

Spaghettini Grill and Jazz Club offers a fun atmosphere, lots of excitement, superb modern and classic Northern Italian cuisine and of course live jazz! Spaghettini is also the home of the now famous Smooth Jazz Sunday Brunch. Come for lunch and try the Berkshire Pork lasagna, with broccolini, whole milk ricotta, reggiano, and homemade marinara. Or taste a dinner entrée, such as the Sliced Center Cut Sirloin Steak, with soy-ginger marinade, and buttermilk mashed potatoes. Don’t leave without try a sinfully delightful dessert such as the White Chocolate Cheesecake. Try Speghettini Grill for an unforgettable and delicious experience.

Nishimura

Sushi Chef Hiro Nishimura’s restaurant certainly lives up to his name. The atmosphere here is soothing and intimate; to get to the restaurant diners walk through a Japanese garden out front. Amid the minimally decorated dining room, the sushi shines, with Chef Nishimura’s master hand creating some of the best sushi and sashimi in Los Angeles. In addition to sushi, hot Japanese dishes are also served, although it is the raw creations particularly the succulent toro, that have built Nishimura’s flawless reputation.

Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n Waffles

Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles is a pop culture icon and a must-visit landmark in Los Angeles. It is the epitome of soul food- tender and crispy Southern-fried chicken and tasty waffles doused in maple syrup culminate in a meal that strikes the preverbal nail on the head that is the tricky balance between sweet and savory. Although the combination of fried chicken and waffles is an east-coast transplant, Southern Californians have taken a shine to the wonderfully sweet and crispy combination. Top it off with one of their signature side dishes (the macaroni and cheese is always a crowd pleaser) and your mind and body can rest assured that you will want to come back for more.

Overal Rating: 7 Shades Restaurant and Bar

Address: 21100 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 (Map)

Shades Restaurant and Bar

Shades Restaurant and Bar embodies the unpretentious elegance of its Huntington Beach location. Formerly the Palm Court, this fixture of the Hilton Waterfront has been given a vibrant new personality through its recent renovation. The restaurant’s lively atmosphere is interpreted differently by its seating options: warm amber lighting and wood accents make for a chic indoor dining experience while the outdoor patio, with its ocean views and sunny tables, is the essence of coastal casual. Chef Jeff Littlefield’s menu is dictated by seasonality, resulting in a quietly sophisticated cuisine that is the epitome of fresh. A meal at Shades is as crisp and refreshing as an ocean breeze.
