Harold & Belle's offers a luxurious atmosphere, with scrumptious food to match. They have won awards since 1999 for their great food and wine. Try such signature dishes as the Shrimp Ryan, Gumbo, or the Jambalaya. Don’t leave without enjoying a cup of their creamy clam chowder. If you have a sweet tooth, try the Sweet Potato Pie or the Peach Cobbler. Nested in the center Newport’s ritzy Fashion Island, Roy’s offers a high-end dining experience which combines the freshest Pacific ingredients with European culinary techniques and Asian spices. While the service is not always spectacular, the food speaks for itself, from perfect lobster potstickers to perfect scallops to a dangerously palatable Hawaiian-style cosmopolitan. The atmosphere is dressy, yet comfortable, with a hipster musical playlist, older women wearing Chanel and pearls, and young girls in trendy boutique dresses. This is less of a place to be seen or treated like royalty, and more of a place to enjoy quality cuisine.

Dar Maghreb

Decorated in rich colors such as blues and golds combined with the earthy colored Berber carpets, Dar Maghreb is a sight to behold. After your waiter performs the traditional hand washing ceremony, sit back comfortably against the pillows around you and enjoy a traditional Moroccan Feast. The menu is comprised of vegetable salads and lentil soup, followed by the masterpiece of Moroccan cuisine, B'Stilla, a mixture of chicken, eggs, toasted almonds wrapped inside a very thin pastry shell. With traditional food and a traditional atmosphere filled with music and stories, this is an experience you won’t forget.

Nishimura

Sushi Chef Hiro Nishimura’s restaurant certainly lives up to his name. The atmosphere here is soothing and intimate; to get to the restaurant diners walk through a Japanese garden out front. Amid the minimally decorated dining room, the sushi shines, with Chef Nishimura’s master hand creating some of the best sushi and sashimi in Los Angeles. In addition to sushi, hot Japanese dishes are also served, although it is the raw creations particularly the succulent toro, that have built Nishimura’s flawless reputation.
