Title: | pretty good, not great |
Went on a wednesday night at 10 45pm, we made a reservation and when we got there 'our table' had paid but had not left yet..we had to wait over 35 minutes for them to leave..ok not necessarily the restaurants fault but we had t stand in the crowded doorway area as there was nowhere else to stand as the restaurant is small..we constantly had people pushing past us. The manager apologized but did NOT offer us anything other than some tap water! The least he could have done was offer a glass of wine...when we finally sat down..it was still busy which is prety impressive for 11 30pm in LA..the pizza menu is large and 'interesting'. There were 4 of us so we tried 4 diff. kinds..they were pretty good but I had read reviews saying its the Best pizza outside of Italy..I've been to Italy and the pizza at Mozza does Not compare. Ive had better pizza for sure but it wasnt bad and they have lots of imaginative combinations. We had the starter of chicken liver pate which was nice and the key lime cheesecake which was also good. They serve continuously until midnight so thats always convenient. Dont know if I would rush back but it was pretty good.
