Geisha House
Address: 6633 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028
Building on the success of Dolce, Lonnie Moore, Mike Malin and Shereen Arazm opened their sprawling Japanese restaurant in November 2003, helping to bring Hollywood Boulevard into the 21st Century while honoring Japan’s past. Geisha House pays tribute to tradition with fully costumed “geishas” who walk the dining room. The restaurant is especially popular with twenty-somethings, who grab dinner before hitting neighborhood bars and clubs. Chef Paulo Soares delivers delicate but flavorful dishes incorporating premium ingredients like Kobe beef, while Sushi Chef Genichi Mizoguchi presides over an innovative sushi bar. Ritual
Address: 1743 N. Cahuenga Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028
Chef Andrew Pastore’s Pacific Rim menu is so elegant, exotic, and beautifully presented, it’s a shame dishes aren’t delivered to tables by elephant. Transcend Hollywood’s club scene into a Zen-like wonderland that calms the senses, enlivens the soul, and thrills the palate. Ritual is located on Cahuenga Blvd., just north of chaotic Hollywood Blvd. It is the pricier, hotter, more attractive cousin of its predecessor White Lotus. Ritual’s food and ambience will make you forget you’re in Hollywood, and its transformation into weekend Hollywood hotspot is a feat to make you forget about any other nightclub this side of La Brea.

Lucques
Address: 8474 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90069
On Melrose, along a popular strip of hip West Hollywood restaurants, Lucques retains its standing as an ideal spot for lunch, dinner, and drinks. In its eighth year, the restaurant excels with its short-list of savory French-Mediterranean cuisine combining subtle, yet distinct, flavors with fish, poultry, and meat. Executive Chef Suzanne Goin uses seasonal ingredients to create dishes that are inventive, fresh, and flavorful. While not extensive, the selections are sufficiently unique to appease finicky Angelenos and most likely tantalize them to return. The wine list is extensive and hand selected by co-owner Caroline Styne.
